Lupe Ruiz-Flores is the author of The Woodcutter's Gift/El regalo del lenador, and Lupita's Papalote/El papalote de Lupita, bilingual picture books. 

      The author has written numerous articles for local and national publications. A member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, she has been a featured author at the Texas Book Festival in Austin. She is a member of the Writers' League of Texas as well.
